Short Hair Don't Care

Ever since I was in college, I have been dreaming of having a Pixie cut hairstyle. But I don't have the courage then. It's a big decision to cut your hair that short, especially if you are living in a society wherein girls are expected to have long hair. And I always have this chubby face so having a really short hair is a big NO! I was afraid then that people would tease me about my hair. Our hair is our crowning glory after all.
But you know, when you're getting old, you're starting to be carefree and you no longer think of what other people would say about your physical appearance.
Fast forward to late 2018. I finally decided to have that Pixie cut I have been dreaming of. Thanks to Marlon of Queen Mother Salon for fulfilling that small dream. So yeah, I have been keeping this hairstyle for almost two years now.

I love the feeling of being different from most of the women I know. Most of them are hesitant of cutting their hair because of the fear that it may not suit them.
I cut my hair for economical reasons. Of course, short hair means less shampoo, less maintenance.

When I had my long hair, I usually spend 6,000php more or less a year just for maintenance. But now, it just came down to 1,500php a year! See how much I saved because of my Pixie Cut.

Currently, the shampoo that I am using is VO5 Volumizing Shampoo and Cream Silk as hair conditioner. I go to salon every once a month only. And that's it. I don't have any special treatment for my Pixie, I want my haircare routine to be as simple as possible. I admit, there are times that I miss my long, straight hair but no matter how many times I tell myself that I will grow my hair, I still end up cutting it.
I have become comfortable with this hairstyle, but I don't know until when. Let's see.
