If you are following this blog, the title might confuse you. I know, I posted last April that I had a negative pregnancy test result or so I thought.

Yes, I took the first pregnancy test last April 26. And it came out negative. But I can feel all the signs. My breasts are tender, I missed my period, I am so emotional that I easily cry over silly things. I got worried because I might be sick so I told my friend, Joni, about it. She just told me to take the test again.

April 28. I took another test. There was another line but it was so blurred. It was so frustrating. I don't want to get my hopes up and get hurt later on. But being the impulsive person that I am, I toook another test the next day, April 29. It was still blurred. I ask my other friend, Ate Love, who is a midwife, about it. She told me to wait for a week. And on May 9, just before Mother's Day, that vibrant two lines, appeared. I'm pregnant.

On May 11, I had my first prenatal check up with Dr. Christine Declarador. Confirmed. I was 5 weeks pregnant at that time. Of course, the whole family were very happy with the good news. After 9 long years of waiting, God gave us another blessing.

But it was not a smooth ride.

It was June 3 when I had blood spotting. My husband rushed me to the hospital. They did some tests and we found out that I had UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). They let me go home though and just gave me prescriptions for antibiotics and progesterone.

The bleeding stopped.

But on June 6, I had spotting again. My husband and I decided that I should be admitted in the hospital. I was admitted for two days. They did some tests again. All my lab results came back normal. Blood tests, sugar, and urinalysis. The baby was also fine based on the ultrasound.

We went home. We thought everything is okay. June 20, I had spotting again. This time, I was surprisingly calm. I didn't panic. Maybe because I already have medicines on stock. I have Heragest (Progesterone) that I take through transvaginal and Isoxsuprine HCl (Isoxilan) just in case I have cramps. I took these two immediately. I was observing if I will have some blood clots. My husband was already crying because I keep on saying that the baby might not be ours. Maybe God just lend the baby to us for just a couple of months. It's not that I am giving up my child, I just want to accept early the possible scenarios that could happen. June 21, we went to the hospital again. I was advised to just continue my medication and bed rest. June 22, we went to my OB for another follow up check up, my cervix is intact and close, my uterus and ovaries are fine. The baby is okay. I also had my Pap Smear so as to check what seems to be the problem , why I am always bleeding. As of this writing, I don't have the results yet. They told me to wait for two weeks.

I am doing well right now. I am 12 weeks pregnant. But I get paranoid sometimes that I will bleed again. I am still taking my medication until my 16th week just to be sure.

I am also worried because of the increasing number of Covid-19 patients in our place. But never did I question God of His timing. He gave me this child in this difficult time for a purpose. A purpose that I don't know yet but I trust Him. He gave us this gift and I know He will sustain it.

After all, God is good all the time.

Welcome to Camz and Coffee!

Hi! My name is Camille but most of my friends call me Camz. I am a mother of three and oohh I love coffee so much. I think I would not be half the mother I am without prayers and coffee. :)
