You came as a surprise when I took that positive pregnancy test on May 9, 2020 right before Mother's Day.

We were hopeful, yes, but we were no longer expecting since it was already a 9-long-year of waiting.
It was Ate Danne who prayed hard for you. I remember early this year everytime we prayed the Holy Rosary, her petition was to have a baby sibling. Specifically, a baby brother. And God grant that prayer, SPECIFICALLY. Prayer really works.
My pregnancy journey was never easy. I was spotting every now and then. From 1st tri to 3rd tri. I remember surrendering you to God because I thought that I might lose you while you were in my tummy. But God is faithful and a loving God.
You gave me a hard time when my water broke earlier than expected. But even though it was a traumatic birth experience, I am thankful to God I have you. YOU ARE ALL WORTH IT.
It was on my second trimester when we started calling you 'Dwayne-dwayne' because of Daddy's favorite basketball player Dwayne Wade. He was even happier when he learned that my due date would be December 29. We were praying that you would really come out on the 29th because of Dwayne Wade's number 9, another favorite of Daddy. But again, you surprised us.
You came at December 9, 2020 at 2:55 in the afternoon. 5 minutes before the deadline that my OB given us because of our delicate situation. If you didn't come out right on time, mommy will have to undergo a caesarian section.
Our journey didn't stop there. Because of mum's 33hrs leaking bow we had to leave you at the hospital for days to treat the infection. It was so heartbreaking but we have to be strong. Mum has to heal too. I have to endure my urinary retention for days now.
But now thanks to Almighty God and to all the people who helped us without second thoughts, people who prayed for us (you know who you are, we are forever grateful) we can now share you to the rest of the world. Our new bundle of joy.
Dwayne Ashton William P. Rubo.
